New displays and cultural arts component to be featured.
Cary, NC—Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre will once again be transformed into a magnificent setting when the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival returns this holiday season. Tickets will go on sale August 1 at noon for the seven-week event, which runs from November 25, 2016-January 15, 2017.
The Festival will include more than 20 all new displays, each one comprised of hundreds of parts, and thousands of LED lights. In what proved to be a fan favorite last year, the spectacular Chinese Dragon on Symphony Lake will return to mesmerize visitors. Each larger than life lantern will once again wow visitors with their amazing craftsmanship, cultural significance and artistic beauty. A new feature this year will be the addition of cultural performance and arts & crafts activities.
“Last year patrons literally gasped in amazement as they came through the gate – itself a spectacular lantern. The Town of Cary and Booth Amphitheatre are thrilled to announce the return of this colorful cultural event to North Carolina”, said Doug McRainey, Town of Cary’s Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources. “We look forward to growing the tradition in Cary with this stunningly beautiful event.”
