CARY, NC (August 2, 2018) Let’s do the Time Warp again! Come to see happens when Theatre Raleigh and Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre join forces again to present the LIVE MUSICAL version of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Show on stage October 26 & 27.
Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, the musical that inspired the 1975 classic cult film, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” follows innocent couple Brad and Janet as they seek shelter at a mysterious old castle on a dark and stormy night, where they encounter transvestite Dr. Fran ‘N” Furter, his “perfect” creation Rocky, and an assortment of other crazy creatures.
MERCYYYYYYY! Just when you think this can’t get any better Theatre Raleigh announces YouTube sensation Penn Holderness will be playing Riff Raff, the Transylvanian who came to Earth with his sister Magenta and his master Dr. Frank N. Furter.
Don’t miss your favorite motley crew as they do the Time Warp LIVE at Booth Amphitheatre. Complete with audience participation, this deliberately kitschy rock ‘n’ roll sci-fi gothic musical is more fun than ever and coming just in time for Halloween. About Penn Holderness
Penn Holderness is an 18 year veteran of the TV business. Since college (UVA) he’s been a sports director in Colorado and Orlando, a TV host for Designer Finals, an ESPN Reporter, and most recently a news anchor in Raleigh. And after 18 years, he’s decided that he isn’t really interested in about half the things he talked about on the news. So he quit! He now runs a video production/digital marketing company Walk West, formerly Greenroom Communications, and is using his blog to showcase the 100% of things he cares about.
