La Fiesta, a Latin Jazz Quintet led and directed by Gregg Gelb who began the group in 2010. The five-piece group includes Ramon Ortiz - a Latin Jazz percussionist who is a native of the Dominican Republic, Steve Anderson - keyboard, who is jazz piano and composition professor at UNC Chapel Hill, Beverly Botsford- a cross-cultural percussionist who has performed all over the world. Andy Kleindienst’, from Durham is our bassist as well one of the groups composers. Gelb composes and plays tenor sax and clarinet.
